Zero Rake at ZeroRake.com
July 9, 2004
The business model has come in for some criticism, but Zero Rake.com
is proving popular with the poker fraternity, it seems. This Las
Vegas From Home powered site is claimed to be the first rake-free
online poker room, and charges a monthly fee of around $6 for the
first month and $30 a month thereafter. Just to show players how
much they are saving, a cool "rake meter" displays what
the player would have paid in rake, based on $25/$5 rake any limit.
The LVFH stats recorder is reported to run efficiently, as does
the actual play. If this innovative idea works out it could be the
precursor to similar sites...and poker players will save substantially
and probably spend it on more gambling!
Take a look at the elegant Play Monte Carlo.com, an online casino
professionally presented and powered by the 4GMedia people, subsidiaries
of OpenTV and the parent Liberty Group (a Fortune 500 company) Powered
by proprietary software branded Betting Corp UltimateOne this pleasing
site is owned by Betting Corp out of London, UK and offers 22 no-download,
quality games with interesting variations on all the faves including
some nice multiline slots. Licensing is Kahnawake, and there is
24/7 Support and a good range of financial options - players can
deal in GBP sterling, US dollars or Euros, by the way. There are
