BoDog announces major U.S. marketing campaign
May 16, 2005
Bodog's advertising hassles with Esquire vs the Department of Justice
(see InfoPowa last week) does not seem to have slowed the top gambling
group down judging by press releases this week - the company is
pressing on with a multi-million dollar marketing push.
The company has announced the beginning of a major advertising campaign
in the US designed to accelerate the already phenomenal growth the
company currently enjoys with new customer accounts doubling year
over year.
Starting this month, Bodog.com will launch the first of two television
spots it has planned to air over the next few months. The commercials
will air in major cities across the US on a wide variety of networks,
including ESPN, Fox Sports, Discovery, Travel, Bravo, E!, A&E,
Comedy Central, MTV and VH 1, and will be supported by a variety
of print and radio ads.
Four-page print ads in leading men's magazines such as Complex,
Razor, and the progressive business bible Fast Company across the
USA are also lined up.
"This is only the start of our aggressive mass media
advertising campaign targeting the US market," says
CEO and founder Calvin Ayre. "Over the next six months,
you'll see innovative and creative Bodog.com messaging across multiple
media platforms."
The marketing plan embraces other major publicity initiatives as
well, and includes celebrity poker sponsorships like Shannon Elizabeth,
the star-studded Bodog.com casino night in Cannes, and upcoming
product placements in major blockbuster movies.
BoDog's Casino is powered by Realtime
Gaming.
