Bodog announces poker & sports marketing conference
May 16, 2005
Bodog.com is pleased to announce the second annual Bodog.com Poker
& Sports Marketing Conference set for July 6 and 7, at the Mandalay
Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The Bodog.com Poker & Sports Marketing Conference brings the
biggest names in the online gambling industry together in one room
- including sports legends, handicappers, professional poker players,
online marketing experts, and successful entrepreneurs. They will
discuss the future trends, technologies, and legal issues of an
industry sitting on the forefront of great change - regulation,
consolidation, and adoption by the mainstream markets as a popular
form of online entertainment.
Over 80 million Americans play poker every year. One in every four
Americans bets on sports at least once a year. Over $3.5 billion
was wagered on the 2005 NCAA Basketball Tournament alone.
Online gambling has turned into a multi-billion dollar industry.
The Bodog.com Poker & Sports Marketing Conference is a chance
to learn from and network with the elite of the global online gambling
community.
"I am looking forward to working closely with our fellow
operators, affiliates, suppliers, industry media and investors as
we strive towards making this experience a valuable one for everyone
in attendance." said Calvin Ayre, Founder and CEO of
Bodog.com. "Of course, it would not be a Bodog.com event
without a fantastic party, beautiful women, and tons of entertainment
to make for a wild night in Las Vegas."
The official Bodog.com `Party at the Palms,' will be held July
6 at the Rain Nightclub in the Palms Hotel, and will ensure that
conference attendees leave Las Vegas with some truly lasting memories.
Last year Joe Montana was on hand to autograph Bodog.com footballs.
"We are all very excited to bring this event back to
Las Vegas, and know that this will be the single event everyone
involved in online sports betting, casino and poker should attend,"
said Calvin Ayre. "We have a number of big surprises
planned for this year, but you will have to be there to experience
it all."
