World Gaming launches new gaming site

World Gaming PLC (OTC BB: WGMGY) is pleased to announce the launch of www.worldgaming.com as a sportsbook, casino and pari-mutuel site. Sovereignty of Indian tribes at stake

Governor Gray Davis of California has made a proposal to tax the state's Indian tribes for 25% of the take from slot machines, which is estimated to amount to a total of 1.5 billion dollars.

The Indian tribes state this is in violation with the tribes' sovereignty, as no state law is superior to the law of the Native American tribes. In fact the constitution treats all sovereign governments equally, including countries, states *and* American Indian tribes.

Boss Media and Dr. Ho no longer in co-operation

The license agreement between Dr. Ho and Boss Media has been terminated.

Boss Media delivered an Internet casino system to Dr. Ho in September 2001, as a complement to their own so called live casino, which allows the players to play against real, live dealers via Internet.

Australian casino revenue growth halts

According to a survey held by the Australian Casino Association the growth of Australian casino revenues has halted, while the number of visits to Australian casinos has more or less remained the same.

Chris Downey, chairman of the Australian Casino Association, attributes this trend to a maturing gambling market. Critics say they are uncertain whether this trend will continue, and casino revenues might even increase if casinos decided to introduce new products and promotions.

Three year old stabbed to death outside a Nevada casino

While her mother was gambling inside a Nevada casino, a three-year-old girl was stabbed to death by a 19-year-old man inside her family's trailer at the CasaBlanca casino recreational vehicle resort near Las Vegas.

The girls' mother and her boyfriend had been confronted inside the casino by a man who demanded they pay him $125, said Lt. Jerry Hafen, a Nevada Department of Public Safety spokesman. Authorities believe the money had been stolen from the man to repay a debt to the couple.

Gang's magnetic roulette ball con rolls casino for $700,000

A gang of con-men has won hundreds of thousands of dollars from an Austrian casino by planting a remote-controlled magnetic roulette ball on a table.

Police said the gang used a concealed device near the table, possibly hidden in a watch, to create an electromagnetic field and manipulate where the ball went to within three spaces. They did not win on every spin, but improved the odds enough to pick up $A688,000 over several weeks of regular visits to a Casinos Austria gambling house in Velden, Carinthia.
