2015-05-16 00:00:00

It was a good month of March for both New Jersey and Delaware in terms of online gambling revenue. Both states had increases over the previous month with New Jersey finally starting to see improved numbers.

New Jersey had total gaming revenue that was up 2.3 percent from last year with the Golden Nugget increasing their total revenues by 40 percent to about $19 million with online gaming revenue accounting for $3 million of that money. Online gambling revenue for the month of March in New Jersey topped $13 million, the most in state history. The interesting part about the online gambling numbers from New Jersey show that online casino revenue went up while online poker revenue went down.

The numbers in Delaware were also up but in a different way. Delaware saw online poker revenue go up 26% for the month. Harrington Raceway, Dover Downs and Delaware Park took in a combined $43,636 in March. Part of the reason for the increase is the agreement with Nevada that allows Delaware poker players and Nevada poker players to compete against each other.

Online gambling revenue in Delaware for the month of March also went up but only by 2% compared to February and those numbers include poker, video lottery and online casino games.
