Review:
City Club is a Playtech casino. I've always kind of liked Playtechs, despite their bad reputation. The software is smooth and reliable, and nice to look at. They have a wide assortment of games, and I like their comps program. It's easy to use, and it helps you keep track of your wagering. They offer Pontoon, as well as a full pay 4-line JoB machine. (It's ugly to look at, but full pay multiliners are rare in the online world.) Their 10 liners are NOT full-pay, however, so be warned. I've also had more than my share of luck playing Poker Three - the Playtech name for three card poker - which doesn't hurt. City Casino's multitude of bonuses are confusing, and sometimes contradictory. Playtechs sometimes use confusing and/or hidden bonus terms to trick or trap players, so I read them carefully. When I thought I'd completed the wager requirement, I emailed customer service, and failed to get an answer. So I gritted my teeth and called. The poor Indian woman who answered sounded like she was on the 13th hour of a 14 hour shift, and like she'd like to wrap a telephone cord around someone's neck if she could. (Not that I blame her - if I worked in a call center in India," I'd hate my life too.) She insisted the bonus was non-cashable - that it was a phantom"" bonus, that could not be cashed out. I knew that she was wrong, but since she wouldn't change her mind (even after reading the terms out loud to her on the phone - at her instructions), I gave up. Eventually I figured out - on my own - that the comps rate posted on their website was wrong. In other words, the rate they were actually comping my play was not the rate they said it was. Once I figured out what the actual rate was, I realized I hadn't completed the wager requirement. Once I completed the wager requirement, I was able to successfully cashout, and the money showed up in Neteller 8 or 10 days later. A bad experience, overall, that reminded me why so many people hate Playtechs. More Reviews: Click on Reviewer to view all Reviewer's Reviews
