Review:
For anyone not familiar with the Harrods Department store in London, it is a name which is associated with high class service and excellent quality. When they put their name to a casino therefore, naturally I expected it to be something special. The casino is powered by Kismet software which is not a name I am familiar with, and although the lobby looked extremely professional, I found the choice of just 21 games quite disappointing. There were just a basic three video pokers, and only four slots. Blackjack players may be a little more accommodated however as there are six variants of blackjack including Spanish and Asian varieties. There are limited funding options, Harrods accept Visa and Mastercard, British debit cards Switch and Solo and Neteller. They do however offer a match bonus on your first deposit and regular weekly promotions. I tried out the Luxuria video slot, which billed itself as a bonus slot. In actuality the bonus game which was triggered by three helicopter symbols was a Play Your Cards right hi-lo game. I didn't make it past the first card and won a lousy 5 pounds!! The graphics were OK but I found the sounds a little crude. I then tried out the 3 hand poker, the dealers voice which was supposedly a high class British accent had me rolling on the floor, having been born and bred in England I can honestly say I have never heard anyone speak like that! However, the graphics on the game were superb and I can't fault the fairness. My overall impressions of Harrods were that I was I felt a little let down, perhaps I had expected too much from the casino, but I felt it just wasn't special enough to carry the Harrods name.
